Job summary

Kama‘āina Kids in Makawao, HI is seeking an energetic After School Group Leader to help elementary‑age keiki learn, play, and grow after school. You’ll lead games, plan activities, help with homework, and build the kind of caring relationships that brighten a child’s day.

Part‑Time | Pukalani, Monday–Friday afternoons (roughly 1:30 PM–5:30 PM; early release Wednesdays). Earn $18–$21/hour plus benefits, plus paid training, PTO and holiday pay, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Genuinely enjoys working with elementary-age children.
• Brings energy and enthusiasm to a group.

Responsibilities

• Lead games, recreation, and outdoor activities
• Plan arts, crafts, STEM, and other enrichment activities
• Support children with homework and schoolwork
• Encourage teamwork, confidence, and positive behavior
• Build positive relationships with keiki and their families
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized program
