Kamaʻāina Kids is seeking a dedicated After School Program Manager at Makalapa Elementary to lead an afternoon program for school-age children. You will coach staff, partner with families and schools, and ensure a safe, engaging environment that supports learning and social development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience leading or supervising groups of children is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of an after-school program serving school-age children.
• Coach, mentor, and support staff including Group Leaders and Aides.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and engaged.
• Plan enriching activities including games, STEM projects, arts and crafts, homework support, outdoor recreation, and team-building.
• Build strong relationships with families, school administrators, and community partners.
• Manage attendance, staffing, scheduling, communication, and day-to-day operations.
