Job summary

Children’s Aid NYC is seeking a Beacon Group Leader in the Bronx to support middle and high school students in afterschool and summer programs. The role focuses on tutoring, SEL activities, and enrichment, with a strong emphasis on safety, mentoring, and positive role modeling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; up to 2 years of experience with children.
• College degree preferred and 2+ years of experience with children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage groups of 20–25 middle and high school students.
• Provide academic enrichment, SEL, and recreational activities.
• Create club lesson plans and facilitate club activities.
• Promote positive behavior and maintain a safe program.
• Collaborate with staff and assist with events and operations.
