Job summary

Children's Aid Society is seeking a Group Leader (Middle School) to supervise 20–25 students in afterschool and summer programs, delivering academic support, SEL activities, and enrichment under supervision. Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; up to 2 years of experience with children or youth preferred.
  • College degree is preferred and 2+ years of experience with children or youth may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage groups of 20-25 middle school participants.
  • Provide tutoring in reading, writing, mathematics, and study skills.
  • Implement literacy-based curriculum and literacy activities.
  • Promote positive behavior and maintain a safe program environment.
  • Plan, organize and supervise games, sports, arts and special projects.
  • Assist with program operations and special events as needed.
  • Fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities and participate in trainings.
