Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County in Hollywood, Florida, is seeking an Education Instructor to support youth ages 6-18 through tutoring, enrichment, and program assistance. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma (associate or bachelor’s in education, Youth Development, or related field preferred) and an Emergency First Aid

Qualifications

• Must possess Emergency First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in education, Youth Development, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children and youth in an educational or afterschool setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide homework help, tutoring, and academic enrichment activities for members.
• Assist in implementing literacy, numeracy, and STEM-based learning programs.
• Support students with different learning styles and needs, reinforcing positive study habits.
• Encourage member participation in academic programs and assist with project-based learning.
• Help organize and implement structured learning activities, ensuring they are engaging and effective.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all members.
• Serve as a mentor and role model, encouraging positive attitudes toward learning.
• Support students in developing confidence, problem-solving skills, and academic independence.
• Assist in maintaining records of student progress and participation.
• Set up learning materials, manage supplies, and maintain an organized educational space.

Education
