Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children is helpful.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.
• High energy, endurance, and patience.
• Comfortable working with different personalities in an informal environment.
• Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
• Ability to model appropriate behaviors.
• Ability to address and de-escalate crisis.

Responsibilities

• Stimulate interest and participation in areas such as reading, math, nutrition, and fitness.
• Help maintain classroom materials and fitness equipment.
• Assist instructors, coordinators, classroom teachers, or fitness directors as assigned.
• Mobilize members to attend or participate in programs.
• Maintain discipline and adherence to BGC rules.
• Develop a positive atmosphere to achieve long-term academic and social goals.
• Assist with collecting and tabulating data.
• Other duties as assigned.
