Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking a part-time Education Instructor to support members ages 6–18 with tutoring and academic enrichment. The role emphasizes hands-on learning and alignment with the Club’s mission to help youth reach their full potential.

Required: High school diploma; CPR/First Aid certification. An associate or bachelor’s degree in education or youth development is preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in education, Youth Development, or related field preferred.
Must have experience working with children and youth in an educational or afterschool setting.
Emergency First Aid & CPR Certificate required.

Responsibilities

Provide homework help, tutoring, and academic enrichment activities for members.
Assist in implementing literacy, numeracy, and STEM-based learning programs.
Support students with different learning styles and needs, reinforcing positive study habits.
Encourage member participation in academic programs and assist with project-based learning.
Help organize and implement structured learning activities, ensuring they are engaging and effective.
Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all members.
Serve as a mentor and role model, encouraging positive attitudes toward learning.
Support students in developing confidence, problem-solving skills, and academic independence.
Assist in maintaining records of student progress and participation.
Set up learning materials, manage supplies, and maintain an organized educational space.
