Job summary

AVSystem seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to own production Linux systems, Kubernetes clusters, and automation for telco products. You’ll work a fixed CET 14:00–22:00 window, collaborating with US/LatAm teams and supporting customers.

Expect hands-on reliability work, strong scripting and cloud experience, and a focus on incident prevention. The role emphasizes on-call readiness after onboarding, operates remotely from Poland with options to visit Kraków, and offers a path to senior technical

Qualifications

• Several years running production Linux systems as an SRE, DevOps engineer or sysadmin.
• Strong Linux knowledge (Ubuntu, RHEL) and networking fundamentals.
• Python or Go for automation; Bash for small tasks.
• Kubernetes experience with at least one cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Experience with Prometheus stack and Loki or alternative logging stacks.
• Fluent English and proficiency in Polish.

Responsibilities

• Own problems end to end: frame, plan, implement, verify and run in production.
• Learn telco domain to understand operator networks and product impact.
• Coordinate with US/LatAm teams for daily support and planned work.
• Build automation to reduce toil and improve reliability.
• Improve observability and SLIs; drive blameless postmortems.
• Collaborate with development on operable feature design.
• After onboarding, participate in paid 24/7 on‑call rotation.
