Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma, active and valid driver's license, and meet physical requirements.
• Outstanding verbal and nonverbal communication with a focus on de-escalation.
• Demonstrated ability to write incident reports.
• Ability to make independent and sound decisions under stress while following policies.

Responsibilities

• Controls access to campus by verifying and issuing badges.
• Monitors cameras to protect the space.
• Uses metal detectors to screen for weapons.
• Uses Outlook, Excel, and the Internet to complete tasks.
• Conducts patrols on foot or in a vehicle.
• Communicates to identify and respond to non-emergency and emergency situations with de-escalation.
• Identifies and reports hazards.
• Documents security incidents around campus.
