United Wholesale Mortgage seeks a Security Officer I to protect our campus by controlling entry, verifying IDs, and patrolling facilities. The role emphasizes elite service to team members, clients, and guests while maintaining safety protocols.

You will monitor cameras, screen with metal detectors, and respond to incidents with clear documentation and measured judgment under pressure. This entry-level position supports a secure, welcoming workplace.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma, active and valid driver's license, and meet physical requirements.
• Outstanding verbal and nonverbal communication with a focus on de-escalation.
• Demonstrated ability to write incident reports.
• Ability to make independent and sound decisions under stress while following policies.

Job description

The safety and security of our team members and campus is our number one priority. The Security Officer I plays a pivotal role in our layered approach to security by controlling access to our campus space and providing elite service to our fellow team members, clients, and guests.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Controls access to our campus space by verifying badges and issuing badges.
• Monitors cameras to proactively protect our space.
• Uses Metal Detectors to screen for weapons.
• Uses common computer programs such as Outlook, Excel, and the Internet to complete tasks.
• Conducts patrols and provides services to team members both on foot and in a vehicle.
• Communicates with fellow team members to identify and respond to several types of non-emergency and emergency situations with a focus on de-escalation.
• Identifies and report hazards.
• Responds to and appropriately documents security related incidents around campus.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have Qualifications:

• Ability to work one of the following shifts based upon need: 5am-2pm, 7am-4pm, or 1pm-10pm.
• High School Diploma.
• Active & valid driver's license.
• Meet physical needs of the job.
• Must demonstrate good moral fitness and ethical standards.
• Outstanding verbal and nonverbal communication skills with a focus on de-escalation.
• Demonstrated ability to write incident reports.
• Demonstrated ability make independent and sound decisions under stress while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• CPR certified
• Prior security experience
• Previous military or law enforcement experience
