Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science required.
• MLT certification from ASCP or NCA desired, or completion of military technician program meeting CLIA requirements.
• Coursework includes Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Nursing, Statistics, Physiology, Veterinary sciences, Mathematics, Introduction to Laboratory Sciences, Pathology, etc. Course work outside of the US must be verified by NACES approved credentialing evaluation service.

Responsibilities

• Perform select laboratory procedures on blood and body fluid specimens using manual techniques and modern laboratory instruments
• Work with laboratory information systems to manage and track specimens
• Follow established protocols to ensure accuracy and quality in every test
• Collaborate with laboratory technologists, leaders, and supervisors to support the lab's mission
• Perform phlebotomy procedures when needed to keep the workflow moving
