Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
• MLT certification from ASCP or NCA desired.
• Bachelor’s degree with five or more relevant science courses; international coursework must be evaluated.

Responsibilities

• Performs select chemical, cytologic, hematologic, histologic, immunologic, microbiologic procedures.
• Operates instruments and information systems; monitors performance and quality.
• Calibrates, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment within defined parameters.
• Adheres to policies, protects patient confidentiality, and participates in quality improvement.
• Completes competency assessments and supports safety and compliance initiatives.
