Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Afterhours Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive hospice care after regular hours across Ohio. The role requires an active RN license in Ohio, valid driver's license, and mobility to travel within a 50-mile radius.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN licensure is required.
• Current driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• CPR certification is preferred (within 90 days of hire).
• 1+ years clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient needs by phone until an in-person visit is possible.
• Respond to after-hours crisis calls with urgency.
• Initial nursing evaluation within 48 hours of referral.
• Perform after-hours visits including admissions, death, recertification, and routine visits.
• Travel within a 50-mile radius to provide patient care.
• Document problems, goals, interventions, and patient/family responses.
