Crossroads Courier, Inc. in St. Louis, MO is seeking a reliable Dispatcher to coordinate and manage job orders for independent driver contractors, ensuring on-time delivery and exceptional customer service.

This fast-paced logistics role requires strong communication, organization, and multitasking; you will support the St. Louis division with potential cross-division support. The position is onsite, Thursday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, paying $25–$28 per hour.

Job Description

Dispatcher

Location: St. Louis, MO (onsite)

Compensation: $25 - $28 per hour

Schedule: Thursday - Sunday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Dispatcher to join our operations team. In this role, you will coordinate and manage job orders for independent driver contractors while ensuring exceptional customer service and on-time delivery performance.

This is a fast-paced logistics position that requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The position will primarily support the St. Louis division, with opportunities to provide support to other divisions based on operational needs. The Dispatcher must be comfortable transitioning between divisions and adjusting priorities as needed to support daily operations.

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys a fast-paced logistics environment and is comfortable managing changing priorities while maintaining strong communication and service.

What You’ll Do

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers via phone and email
• Dispatch and assign job orders to independent driver contractors
• Prepare and schedule next-day deliveries and routes based on priorities, service requirements, and driver availability
• Communicate with drivers regarding:
• Special delivery instructions
• Pickup and delivery routing
• Delivery questions and proof of delivery
• Apply ancillary charges, including waiting time and van fees, to job orders
• Accurately and timely post routes and recurring orders in the CXT system
• Manage driver activations and deactivations within the system
• Complete daily scheduled coverage reports for management review
• Reassign routes and resolve scheduling conflicts as needed
• Report driver and customer issues to Driver Support and Operations Management
• Gather, verify, and accurately enter order information into the system
• Provide support across multiple divisions based on operational needs
• Complete additional operational tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service, dispatch, and/or logistics experience
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
