Job summary

French International School of Oregon is seeking energetic, responsible Part-Time Student Monitors to join the Extended Learning team. You will supervise FI students during Aftercare and other programs, ensuring a safe, engaging environment with a positive attitude.

The role offers on-campus work, with opportunities to participate in ACE Week, Summer Camps, and other activities at the discretion of the manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed.
• Experience in childcare and/or educational settings.
• Flexible, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
• Physical mobility sufficient to supervise children.
• Background check through Oregon Central Background Registry required.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.
• Fluency in French or another language besides English.
• Interest in international education and multilingual environment.

Responsibilities

• Uphold safety and supervise students at all times.
• Supervise students after school during the Aftercare program.
• Provide snacks and assist with transitions to Afterschool Explorer classes and pickup areas.
• Provide coverage for Teachers and Teacher Assistants between end-of-school and Aftercare periods.
• Plan and facilitate fun, engaging activities for Aftercare, ACE Week, Summer Camps, and other programs as needed.
• Attend department meetings and in-service day trainings, when available.
• Help maintain safe, clean, and organized classrooms.
• Support students in resolving conflicts through accountable talk and positive guidance.
