Job summary

City Garden Montessori School in Missouri is seeking a part-time aftercare helper to supervise students indoors and outdoors, facilitate activities, and maintain attendance records after 3:00–6:00 pm. This role runs for remainder of the 2024-25 school year and Summer School (June 9–July 3, 2025).

Qualifications

• Loves working with kids.
• Current college student (enrolled in a program).
• Experience working with students in a school or supervised setting (YMCA, day camp, etc.).
• Babysitting/child care experience comfortable with young children.
• Flexible to adapt to changing work.
• Able to cooperate with others.
• Dependable—students rely on you.
• Willing to take on responsibilities as needed.
• Commitment to equity and anti-bias/anti-racist principles.
• Effective communication with adults and children.

Responsibilities

• Safely supervise students indoors and outside, using good judgment.
• Facilitate activities for students.
• Keep accurate attendance records following check-in/check-out procedures.
