Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands in Council Bluffs is seeking a part-time Program Specialist to deliver education, recreation, and leadership programs for youth from KG through 12th grade. The role emphasizes safety, inclusivity, and positive youth development while coordinating activities across STEM, arts, sports, and career development.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with youth preferred.
  • Knowledge of Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) is a plus.
  • Ability to interact positively with youth individually and in groups.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver programs to KG–12th grade members in Education & Career Development, Sports, Arts, Leadership, STEM and more.
  • Ensure programming quality and safety with the 5 key elements of positive youth development.
  • Maintain accurate records for activities and meals and timely incident reporting within 24 hours.
  • Assist with supervision of members and transport as needed using BGCM vehicles.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive environment and manage group dynamics effectively.
  • Navigate virtual environments and utilize technology to engage youth.
  • Maintain proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Teams, Office and Google Suite.
