Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs Of Chicago is seeking a Program Instructor for the Little Village Club in Chicago, IL. This part-time role involves preparing and implementing youth programs, supervising members, and supporting outcomes across academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED (Associate's degree preferred) and 1–2 years of youth development experience. Strong communication, safety, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
• 1–2 years of youth development experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral problems.
• Ability to interact with the general public.
• Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare youth for success by facilitating Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promote daily learning and participation in programs and events.
• Orient new members to Club programs, safety, and rules.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Implement, monitor and evaluate programs and activities.
• Develop weekly and monthly program plans.
• Monitor safety and program quality.
• Recognize member participation and maintain attendance records.
• Maintain order and supervise members; train volunteers.
• Participate in weekly Leader meetings.
• Monitor supplies and stay within budget; keep room neat.
• Ensure facilities are attractive and up to date.
• Suggest repairs when needed; may drive Club van.
• Participate in training opportunities to grow skills.
