Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is seeking a Program Instructor to prepare and implement youth development activities across Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship. You will supervise members, orient new participants, and track attendance and program quality to ensure safety and engagement.

You will collaborate with club staff, volunteers, and leaders to post weekly plans, monitor progress, and reinforce positive behavior while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of Youth Development or related experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral problems.
• Ability to interact with general public and supervise youth in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare youth for success.
• Create an environment that facilitates Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promote daily learning and participation in programs.
• Orient new members to Club programs, events and rules.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Implement, monitor and evaluate programs and activities.
• Develop and post weekly and monthly program plans.
• Monitor attendance and participation; ensure safety and quality.
