Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier is seeking a part-time Youth Development Professional for Gainesville City/Hall County, GA. The role supports after-school programs at multiple sites, with hours from 2pm to 6:30pm, August through May.

You will create a safe, engaging environment and guide youth through activities that promote learning and personal growth. Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate programs, supervising youth, and ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, unless serving in an approved Y program.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required and provided by the organization.
• Must successfully complete fingerprint background check, drug screening, mandated reporting, onboarding, and BGCA training requirements.
• One to twelve months of experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment that promotes positive youth development.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate programs, services, and activities for youth in assigned program areas.
• Provide guidance, encouragement, and positive role modeling for youth individually and in groups.
• Use a warm, respectful, and consistent approach with youth, staff, families, and partners.
• Complete program lesson plans and rosters accurately and on time.
• Maintain active supervision of youth at all times and follow safety procedures and policies.
