Boys & Girls Club Of Athens Inc is seeking a Youth Development Professional for the after-school program in Athens, GA. This hands-on, front-line role runs activities, helps with homework, mentors youth, and keeps the club running during program hours.

The position is part-time, seasonal, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to pass a background check; CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Experience with kids or teens preferred but not required.
• Reliable and punctual — able to work 2:00–7:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
• Ability to pass background check, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage youth participants during structured activities (homework help, games, arts, sports, etc.).
• Build positive, trusting relationships with members.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming club environment.
• Support daily attendance and program documentation.
• Work with site staff to keep activities running on schedule.
• Address behavior and safety concerns calmly and consistently.
• Communicate with parents/guardians as needed.
