Job summary

LEARN LA seeks Youth Leaders and Youth Leader Substitutes to support after-school and weekend activities at multiple elementary and middle schools in the El Monte area. You will work with TK–8 students in academic, physical activity, and enrichment programs under a Site Coordinator.

Positions are part-time hourly with 2–5 days per week availability required; duties include supervision, instruction, tutoring, and promoting safe, engaging environments. Prior youth work is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Pass district exam for Instructional Assistants requested.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of up to 20 students in academics, physical activity or enrichment.
• Ensure student safety during program hours.
• Provide instruction using program materials and/or tutoring.
• Record attendance and assist with snack distribution.
• Communicate student needs to Site Coordinator and teachers.
