Job summary

LEARN LA is seeking Youth Leaders and Youth Leader Substitutes to work across multiple elementary/middle school sites in the El Monte area. The roles are part-time, hourly, with afternoon/evening and some weekend assignments.

Staff will supervise, tutor, and lead enrichment activities for groups of about 20 students, ensuring safety and adherence to program plans. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and strong communication skills; some experience mentoring youth and working in

Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.
• Experience mentoring youth is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students in academic, physical activity, or enrichment activities.
• Ensure supervision and safety during program hours.
• Provide tutoring and homework assistance as needed.
• Support site coordinators and follow lesson plans.
