Job summary

LEARN LA is seeking part-time Youth Leaders to support after-school programs at multiple Pomona-area schools. You will work under a Site Coordinator, guiding groups of about 20 students through academic, physical activity, and enrichment activities.

Responsibilities include supervision, instruction, and tutoring as needed, with occasional weekend shifts. The role offers a flexible schedule, regular-site assignments, and opportunities to gain experience across grade levels.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Experience working with youth is strongly desired.
• Ability to tutor and support homework in math/science is desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of students in academic, physical activity, or enrichment activities.
• Ensure safety and supervision of students during program hours.
• Provide instruction and homework assistance using program materials.
• Serve as a positive adult role model and arrive on time.
• Follow lesson plans and assist with setup and cleanup of sites.
