Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas is hiring a part-time Youth Development Professional to deliver hands-on after-school programming for youth ages 6–18. You will create a welcoming environment, supervise activities, and reinforce positive behavior under the Assistant Club Director’s guidance.

Responsibilities include program delivery, safety, reporting, and collaboration with staff and families. CPR/First Aid are required; background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 18+ years old.
• Pass a background check; must be over 18 to work with youth, over 21 to work with teens.
• Must have at least one year of experience working with children.
• Experience and/or formal training equivalent to a minimum of 6 months in youth development.
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate programs and activities for children ages 6–18, reflecting the Club’s core program areas.
• Ensure safe implementation of all programs and activities, including equipment and facilities safety.
• Orient new members to program areas, events, and safety rules.
• Implement, monitor, and evaluate programs, services, and activities for members.
• Maintain an attractive, neat program area and current displays.
• Assume other tasks, assignments and responsibilities as needed.
