Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas is seeking a Youth Development Professional (YDP) to support our after-school program for youth ages 6–18. This part-time role runs Monday–Friday 2:00pm–7:00pm and focuses on hands-on activities, social recreation, and building positive relationships within a safe, engaging Club environment.

You will assist the Program Director, help deliver the BGCA suite of program areas, monitor behavior, provide instruction, and foster life skills, citizenship, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 18+ years old and able to pass a background check.
• At least one year of experience working with children.
• Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to 6 months in youth development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate youth and manage behavior.

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate programs for children ages 6–18 across BGCA core areas.
• Ensure safe program implementation and proper use of equipment.
• Orient new members to program areas, events, and safety rules.
• Implement, monitor, and evaluate programs and activities.
• Maintain an attractive, clean program area and up-to-date notices.
• Assist the Program Director in all phases of Club operations.
• Membership administration and program registration.
