Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas is seeking a Teen Services Professional to deliver after-school programs for teens aged 13–18. This part-time, hourly role focuses on building relationships, supervising activities, and maintaining a safe, engaging club environment.

You will work under the Director of Teen Services to recruit members, coordinate programs such as college prep, esports, arts and crafts, and summer activities, and help ensure club safety and positive youth development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with children.
• Experience with youth and knowledge of youth development.
• Formal training or experience teaching youth and creating engaging learning experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driving record to operate 15-passenger vans.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with members.
• Deliver age-appropriate programs and activities that reflect Boys & Girls Club’s five core program areas for teens ages 13–18.
• Assist with recruitment to reach 100 teen club members.
• Transport club teens to various programs in BGC vans.
• Ensure safe implementation of all programs and activities.
• Orient new members to program area, special events, and opportunities as well as club safety, program, and disciplinary rules.
• Implement, monitor, and evaluate programs, services, and activities for members.
• Maintain program area clean and attractive; keep bulletin boards current.
• Assist the Program Director in all phases of the overall Club operation.
• Manage membership administration and program registration.
• Assume other tasks, assignments, and responsibilities as needed or directed.
• Build positive relationships with BGC staff, kids, parents, community stakeholders, visitors, and volunteers.
