Job summary

Memphis Shelby County Schools is seeking an After-School Certified tutor to deliver academic, social, and skill development for students in designated grades. You will generate individualized tutoring plans, support classroom instruction, and reinforce learning with small groups and individuals.

You will coordinate materials, track progress, and communicate with teachers to ensure program success. CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) is required.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree or 48 semester hours of college.
• Possesses or able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Preferred: one year of experience with children in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Develops tutoring plans and enrichment activities for students.
• Provides small group and individual academic support.
• Prepares materials and organizes the learning environment.
• Reinforces classroom instruction and routines.
• Collaborates with teachers and documents student progress.
• Collects data for reports and program evaluation.
