Description

Our Siena Y Kids program is seeking an After School Teacher to join the team! This individual is responsible for creating an environment with a teaching team that promotes each child’s development and supports children and their family’s diverse needs and interest.

The Treasure Valley Family YMCA’s Child Development programs support children in their ongoing growth to ensure that they are ready for the next educational milestone, whether that be preschool, kindergarten, middle school, or high school.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position averaging 10 hours per week through the school year. Schedule requirements are Monday through Friday, 3:30pm-6:15pm through the school year. Pay is $15.45-$19.31/hour.

• Maintain an indoor and outdoor environment that is well equipped, organized, safe, clean, and welcoming. The environment is created based on the belief that all children learn best through play, positive adult interaction, and hands on open-ended experiences.

Qualifications:

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Minimum 1 year working with children is preferred.
• Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
• Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
• Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.

Required Licensure and/or Certifications:

• Idaho State Childcare License – Upon Hire.
• Pediatric CPR/AED – Upon Hire.
• First Aid – Upon Hire.
