Job summary

St Francis of Assisi School in Ann Arbor is seeking an energetic after‑school teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. The program runs from August 28, 2026 to June 8, 2027, Monday through Friday, 2:45–6:15 pm, for students from Preschool through 8th grade.

This part‑time position offers $19–$20 per hour, with paid holidays and school closures. Responsibilities include supervising play, planning crafts and cooking activities, helping with homework, and communicating with parents, while ensuring

• Complete 16 training hours per year while on schedule.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.

This work will be with children from Preschool-8th grade. Hours areM-F from 2:45-6:15.Pay range is$19-$20/hourdepending on experience.All holidays, snow days and other school closures during the school year are paid time.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting
• Ability to interact with children in active play, including getting up and down on/off the floor
• The ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
• Must be 18 years of age
