Sylvania is looking for a School Age Child Care Program Teacher to ensure a safe and engaging environment for children ages 5–12 during before- and after-school programs. You will supervise children, lead enrichment activities, and promote positive social interactions.
The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and experience in child development, along with strong communication skills. This position offers a starting pay of $14 per hour based on experience.

Position: School Age Child Care Program Teacher
Location: Fenton Area Public Schools (3 positions available), Tomek Elementary, State Road Elementary, and North Road Elementary
Hours: Monday-Tuesday, and Thursday-Friday; Tentative Schedule 6:15-8:45 AM- 3:00-6:15 PM, Wednesday 6:15-8:45 am and 2:15-6:15 pm
Effective Date: 2026/2027 School Year
The School-Age Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 5–12 in a before- and after-school program. This role includes supervising children, planning and leading enrichment activities, supporting homework time, and promoting positive social interactions. The School-Age Teacher ensures active supervision at all times and follows all Michigan Child Care Licensing (LARA) regulations, as well as program policies and procedures. The position requires strong communication with families and staff, a focus on safety and behavior guidance, and the ability to create a fun, structured environment that meets the needs of school-age children.
