Job summary

Oakwood School in North Hollywood, CA is seeking a part-time After School Program staffer to supervise K-6 students after the school day. The role runs Monday–Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, totaling about 12–15 hours weekly, with some scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required
• Previous work experience with children is required
• Must have a current CPR/First Aid certification
• Must be able to problem solve and think quickly
• Must be available to work Monday-Friday from 3:00pm until 6:00pm (however there is flexibility on the work schedule).
• Approximately 12-15 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Supervises K-6 students on the playground, ensuring student safety and tending to social-emotional learning opportunities as they arise
• After School Personnel will help navigate conversations to be grade appropriate, especially when there is a mixture of students in different grades socializing together.
• Engage with students in activities such as crafts, board games and sports.
• Other responsibilities include enforcing the rules for the purpose of safety and learning, managing attendance rosters, and organizing supplies/ snacks.
