Job summary

YMCA is seeking a Group Leader to supervise and engage children in before/after school and summer programs. You will plan and run educational and recreational activities while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment, building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.

This role contributes to daily program operations and overall success. You will follow YMCA policies on abuse prevention, manage behavior professionally, and collaborate with tutors and coordinators to deliver

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; EDU 119 preferred, BSAC

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a variety of educational, recreational, and enrichment activities for children in the program
• Adapt activities to accommodate different age groups and individual needs
• Ensure activities are engaging, age-appropriate, and align with program goals
• Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being
• Enforce program rules and procedures to maintain a positive and safe environment
• Record attendance, incidents, and other relevant information; report concerns promptly
