Job summary

EduCare Foundation is seeking Frontline Staff to create engaging, safe after-school experiences for students in Los Angeles County. You will work with the Site Coordinator to tutor, coach, and mentor, leading activities across academics, enrichment, arts, and sports.

Emphasizing empathy, inclusivity, and social-emotional growth, you’ll help students explore interests, build confidence, and participate in field trips and events.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or 12 college units is acceptable per site requirements.
• At least two years of experience in youth-centered, educational, recreation, after-school, or community-based programs.
• Experience teaching, leading, coaching, mentoring, tutoring, or supporting diverse students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate activities across academic, enrichment, sports, or recreation.
• Prepare and maintain written activity or lesson plans for assigned programs.
• Establish clear program goals, routines, and behavioral expectations.
• Provide students with opportunities to learn, participate, create, and collaborate.
• Modify activities to fit different ages, abilities, and interests based on feedback.
• Supervise students actively and ensure safety during all program activities.
• Recruit students to participate and assist with events and field trips.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Attend required trainings and apply coaching and program direction to improve quality.
• Represent EduCare Foundation positively within the school community.
