Job summary

Volunteers of America, Dakotas is seeking a Site Coordinator for our after-school program serving elementary students. The role oversees day-to-day operations, creates engaging schedules, develops lesson plans, and maintains accurate student records while actively supervising students to support their safety and academic growth.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: A high school diploma or GED and previous experience in a school-aged care setting is required.
• A valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or a similar credential with emphasis in the care of school age children, and one year of verifiable experience caring for and supervising four or more school-aged children.
• Two years of college coursework in the field of education and one year of verifiable experience caring for and supervising four or more school-aged children
• Two years of verifiable experience in the care and supervision of four or more school-aged children

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly site schedules.
• Plan and facilitate lessons (minimum four per month).
• Review and coordinate lesson plans with Youth Development Professionals.
• Ensure safety and supervision of students at all times.
• Communicate with parents daily and educate them on check-in/out processes.
• Maintain attendance and enrollment records.
