Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Rochester is seeking a Site Assistant to support on-site activity leadership for the school-age program across multiple sites in Monroe County. You will help plan daily activities, supervise groups of children aged 5-12, and assist with snacks and records under the Site Coordinator's direction.

Ideal candidates are at least 16 years old with at least one year of experience with children, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and a sincere commitment to the YMCA

Qualifications

• Experience with children in a school-age setting is preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old and have basic program understanding.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning daily activities and curricular materials.
• Lead activities with individuals and small groups at a site.
• Maintain a safe environment for all children in the program.
• Assist in snacks preparation and distribution.
• Support site records, reports, and coordination with supervisors.
• Know and implement emergency procedures and regulations as needed.
• Attend trainings and meetings relevant to the program.
