Job summary

City of Longview is seeking seasonal, part-time staff for the Before & After School program for 2026-2027. You will lead 20-30 children in grades K-5 through group activities, escort between activities, assist site leaders, monitor behavior, and provide feedback to parents. Hours per week: 25-40 (Mon-Fri).

A pre-employment background check will be conducted. Longview Parks & Recreation staff are encouraged to grow professionally in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is a plus.
• Knowledge of games and team-building activities is preferred.
• Experience leading activities and supervising groups is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead 20-30 children in grades K-5 through group activities.
• Escort children between activities and assist site leaders.
• Lead activities and monitor children’s behavior and performance.
• Motivate children and provide feedback to parents and children.
