Job summary

The City of Longview WA’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking staff for the 2026-2027 Before & After School program on a part-time, seasonal basis. You will help lead activities for K-5th graders, escort children between activities, assist site leaders, monitor behavior, and provide feedback to families. Hours are 25-40 per week, Monday through Friday.

This position is employed only seasonally and/or part-time during the year with the City of Longview. A variety of duties and tasks may be assigned. Refer to the internal department for a specific duties listing.

Position Overview:

Responsible for, but not limited to, leading 20-30 children grades K-5th through group activities. Assist in all aspects of the before and after school program - escort children between activities, assist site leaders, lead activities, monitor behavior and performance, motivate children, and provide feedback to parents and children. Hours per week: 25-40 (Monday-Friday)
