Job summary

KIPP NYC is seeking an Associate, After School Assistant Program Director to help run a high-quality after-school program across NYC campuses. You will collaborate with school leaders, staff, students, and families to ensure safe, engaging, and compliant programming in the after-school hours.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, data management, and family engagement, with on-site work five days weekly in multiple campuses. Prior DYCD experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in youth development, after school programming, or DYCD-funded programs.
• Knowledge of DYCD regulations, reporting requirements, and DYCD Connect is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience maintaining records and supporting administrative processes.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with students, families, school staff, and community partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Support the Program Director with the daily management and operation of the after school program.
• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing daily program operations to ensure high-quality implementation.
• Complete administrative tasks, reports, and operational projects accurately and within required timelines.
• Maintain organized participant, staff, and program records in accordance with DYCD regulations and KIPP NYC policies.
• Assist with additional operational initiatives and department projects as assigned.
• Monitor daily staff-to-participant ratios and support overall program compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff records.
