Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego seeks a Program Specialist for the Escondido area to oversee enrichment and specialty programs within the after-school setting. You will support staff, monitor effectiveness, and ensure students have a positive, enriching experience across STEM, arts, and leadership activities.

The role emphasizes coordinating services, maintaining safety, and collaborating with school partners to align with educational objectives.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a HS diploma or GED.
• Two years’ experience working with school-aged youth.
• Ability to plan and implement quality youth programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise activities.
• CPR and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise program area members and maintain safety.
• Plan and lead organized learning activities for students.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to run programs.
• Develop daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities.
• Manage attendance records and program setup/cleanup.
