Job summary

Youth Guidance is seeking a part-time role in Chicago, IL to supervise students in before and after school programs and to assist the Community Resource Coordinator in promoting programs. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's degree preferred, and strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.

On-site work with supervision and outreach to families is expected. The role involves curriculum collaboration, homework support, and program coordination to deliver

Qualifications

• Must have minimum of High school Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree or student working towards a degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of students in before/after school programs and promote Youth Guidance values.
• Maintain behavioral expectations for students.
• Collaborate in development and facilitation of before and after-school programs.
• Assist students with homework and projects.
• Escort students to and from programs, following the after-school schedule.
• Distribute program information and publications for the programs and enrichment activities.
• Support regular school day administration and staff.
• Communicate information and provide support for parents.
• Provide conflict resolution with children, parents, families, and staff.
• Other duties as assigned
