Job summary

Youth Guidance in Chicago, IL is seeking a part-time Program Supervisor for before- and after-school programs at 10330 S Elizabeth St. Schedule: 3:30-5:30 Monday-Friday, 9:00-11:00 Saturday.

The role focuses on supervising students and promoting program values, with collaboration on curriculum and lesson planning. You will assist with homework, escort students, support school-day staff, and communicate with parents, while applying conflict-resolution skills and an equity-minded approach.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand Chicago Public Schools policies and organizational structure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of students enrolled in before and after school programs.
• Promote the values of Youth Guidance at the assigned school.
• Maintain behavioral expectations for students.
• Collaborate on development of programs including curriculum and lesson planning.
• Assist students with homework and projects.
• Escort students to and from programs following the schedule.
• Distribute program information and publications used to promote the programs and enrichment activities.
• Support regular school day administration and staff.
• Communicate information and provide support for parents.
• Provide conflict resolution with children, parents, families, and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
