Job summary

Responsibilities

• Implements rules and guidelines adopted by the Board of Education.
• Recruits students and parents for program activities.
• Participates in professional development in core content; program of studies, reading, math, and science best practices.
• Attends KDE/regional meetings as required or requested by principals.
• Purchases supplies for the program; maintains inventory.
• Coordinates with program partners for enrichment and activities.
• Gathers student academic and non-cognitive data for evaluation.
• Coordinates with food services for snacks.
• Assigns tutors; manages day-to-day program activities.
• Organizes Saturday field trips and summer camps.
• Coordinates transportation for after-school, Saturday, and summer programs.
• Organizes session schedules; contacts partners for sessions.
• Conducts Advisory Council meetings.
• Revises program activities based on evaluation.
• Refer parents to adult literacy or GED classes at WKCTC.
• Advertises the program to students and community partners.
• Assist in financial management and seek additional funding.
• Pursue continuing education in best practices and science-based strategies.
• Assist in media and public relations campaigns.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and back-to-school activities.
• Manage staff and volunteers; ensure documentation.
• Maintain professional appearance and regular attendance.
• Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics.
