Job summary

Friendly House, Inc. is seeking an After School Assistant Teacher to support planning and implementing safe, developmentally appropriate activities for children in the after school program.

You will manage a group of children, support the lead Teacher, and ensure enrichment, health, and safety in classrooms at Friendly House and partner sites. This is a 20-hour per week, in-person role requiring adherence to policies and childcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Be at least 15 years old.
• Current first aid and pediatric CPR training certificate.
• Current food handler certification.
• Current enrollment in CCLD’s Central Background Registry (CBR) if 18 years or older.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and implementing safe, developmentally appropriate activities.
• Manage a group of children and support the Teacher.
• Ensure enrichment, social development, health, and safety of children.
• Adhere to childcare regulations and Friendly House policies.
• Maintain staff-to-student ratios and assist with curriculum under supervision.
• Prepare classroom spaces and supervise during activities.
