Friendly House is hiring an After School Assistant Teacher to support planning and implementing safe, developmentally appropriate activities for children in the after school program. You will manage a group of children and assist the teacher to ensure enrichment, social development, health, and safety.

The role is in-person at multiple sites in Portland, with a schedule of 1:30-5:30pm, Monday through Friday, and hours may vary for school in-service days and breaks.

Formación

• Be at least 15 years of age.
• Current first aid and pediatric CPR training certificate.
• Current food handler certification.
• Current enrollment in CCLD’s Central Background Registry (CBR) if 18 years or older.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsabilidades

• Support planning and implementing safe, developmentally appropriate activities for children.
• Manage a group of children and support the Teacher.
• Ensure enrichment, social development, health, and safety of children in the After School Program.
• Adhere to childcare regulations and Friendly House policies.
• Maintain appropriate staff to student ratios and assist with classroom setup and cleanup.

Educación
