Job summary

Great Hearts Academies seeks After-School Program Teachers for the Prairie View Campus in Fort Worth, TX. This part-time, hourly role supports elementary and middle school students with homework, enrichment, and fun after-school activities at the Prairie View site.

Teachers will be assigned to a grade-level class and follow a provided lesson plan, delivering engaging activities across reading, arts, sports, and more with daily coaching support.

Qualifications

• Some college (education or liberal arts preferred).
• Experience with children is required.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Ability to lead and teach children in a classroom setting.

Location: Great Hearts Prairie View (9001 NW Hwy 287 Ft Worth, TX 76131)

Reports To: Campus Coordinator

FLSA Status: Part-Time; Hourly

Position Description:

• Part-time afternoon position supporting elementary and middle school students in homework, enrichment, and fun.
• Teachers will be assigned to a specific grade‑level class and conduct a daily activity following a provided lesson plan.
• Lessons and activities include reading, athletics, logic games, art, music, etc.

Qualifications:

• Some college (preferably with education or liberal arts major), experience with children, excellent communication skills, and ability to lead and teach children.

Requirements:

• Must complete Texas Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance and background check.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by their start date.
• Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 50 pounds approximately.

US Work Authorization is required.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.

Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
