Job summary

Great Hearts Arlington is seeking an enthusiastic After-School Program Teacher to support elementary and middle school students in the afternoons. This part-time, hourly role focuses on homework help, enrichment, and engaging activities following a provided lesson plan.

You will be assigned to a specific grade-level class and run daily activities that may include reading, athletics, logic games, art, and music. Compliance with fingerprint clearance and background checks is required.

Qualifications

• Some college, preferably with education or liberal arts.
• Experience with children.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lead and teach children.

Reports To: Campus Coordinator

FLSA Status: Part-Time; Hourly

Position Description:

• Part-time afternoon position supporting elementary and middle school students in homework, enrichment, and fun.
• Teachers will be assigned to a specific grade-level class and conduct a daily activity following a provided lesson plan.
• Lessons and activities include reading, athletics, logic games, art, music, etc.

Qualifications:

• Some college (preferably with education or liberal arts major), experience with children, excellent communication skills, and ability to lead and teach children.

Requirements:

• Must complete Texas Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance and background check.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by their start date.
• Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 50 pounds approximately.

US Work Authorization is required.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.

Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
