Job summary

YMCA of Northern Utah is seeking a Site Coordinator I to coordinate and implement activities at an assigned childcare site. The role focuses on a safe, enriching environment and working with youth, staff, volunteers, and families.

The Site Coordinator I collaborates with the Assistant Director and Director of Youth Development on weekly updates and program planning, while ensuring grant fidelity and community outreach efforts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years’ experience working with school-aged children.
• One or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid infant/child certification; Food Handler’s Permit or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, implements, and directs high quality childcare program and staff for assigned site.
• Develops positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and volunteers.
• Ensures safety of all participants and follows YMCA policies and procedures, including emergency procedures.
• Assists in implementing new programs and grant activities.
• Recruitment and retention efforts to maintain attendance per grant guidelines.
• Engages in marketing and recruitment at site to increase enrollment and awareness.
• Supervises staff, conducts training, and reviews payroll.
• Maintains grant fidelity, site records, reporting and deadlines.
• Plans activities with supervisors to meet YMCA standards and partnerships.
• Oversees operating budget and manages expenses; creates purchase requests and inventory.
