Job summary

YMCA of San Diego County is seeking an Assistant Site Supervisor for Expanded Learning Programs (ELP). Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, you will assist with program management, supervision, planning, and implementation of academic enrichment activities, and help manage safe sign-in/out procedures.

This in-person role requires high energy, good communication, and a strong desire to mentor youth, strengthen families, and serve the community across morning and after-school shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• One year experience in child and youth development or equivalent setting preferred.
• Visual and auditory ability to respond to incidents and act in emergencies.
• Physical ability to lead activities (sports, games, assemblies, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, managing, and implementing program activities per grant/goals and YMCA policies.
• Supervise participants and ensure safety at all times.
• Provide positive behavior guidance supporting development and social-emotional needs.
• Serve as lead staff in absence of Site Supervisor.
• Recruit students and market activities to ensure program capacity.
• Collaborate with school and district staff to align quality academic activities.
• Assist with attendance data, program documents, and student files.
