After-School All-Stars Los Angeles is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead an ASAS-LA site in Montebello, ensuring a safe and dynamic after-school environment that educates, inspires, and engages youth. You will drive attendance, implement creative strategies, and supervise staff to deliver high-quality programming.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with district staff, and the ability to manage diverse activities and outcomes. US-based, full-time evenings/weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership or supervisory role in afterschool, day camp, or youth organization.
• Ability to collaborate with school staff, officials, parents, and community leaders.
• Familiarity with quality criteria for expanded learning programming is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop and execute programs for diverse learning styles and interests.
• Experience working in ethnic and culturally diverse communities is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment (verbal and written).
• Respond to critical incidents and act promptly using ASAS-LA protocols.
• Excellent organizational and managerial skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with computer software (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Must have valid transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all staff and volunteers at the ASAS-LA site and provide professional development opportunities.
• Assist with discipline and behavior management to foster a positive atmosphere.
• Embed ASAS-LA Mission and Vision into daily practices at each site.
• Provide a safe, enriching environment for students.
• Guide and model behavior for participants in a supportive atmosphere.
• Oversee day-to-day programming and report emergencies to supervisor.
• Act as liaison between ASAS-LA and school site to strengthen partnerships.
• Ensure implementation of ASAS-LA initiatives through observations and trainings.
• Collaborate with school day efforts for expanded learning programming.
• Assist with surveys for program evaluations and communicate with stakeholders.
